Applied of Zirconium

Chemical equipment(Hydrochloric acid, Sulfuric acid, Acetic acid, Caustic soda, Vinyl chloride, etc.) related process or liquid. Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Synthetic fiber, Dye, Detergent, Bleach related equipment.

Properties of Zirconium

Zirconium has excellent corrosion resistance against various chemical substances such as acid and base, and has good workability, strength and heat transfer characteristics. Therefore, Zirconium and its alloys are used in heat exchangers, reactors, distillation columns, pressure tanks, pumps and pipes in chemical plants.

It is also used in food and pharmaceutical factories because it is not toxic. Zirconium alloys are widely used for various applications such as Light filament, Precision tool, Mobile phone and Watch case, heat-resistant material of spacecraft, and high strength bicycle frame because of high melting point and excellent corrosion resistance. And due to of its compatibility with human tissues, it is used for artificial hip joints, knee joint implant devices, and surgical tools. Powder is used as military soot because it burns well, and alloy with Niobium is used as superconductor.
